    • Shmitta Worksheet: The prohibited melachot (field work) on shmitta This is a four page worksheet, completely in Ivrit, about the melachot that are prohibited on shmitta. Which are Biblically prohibited, which are rabbinically prohibited, the difference between doing melachot for the improvement of the tree and its produce and doing elachot for maintenance only, is plowing a Biblical prohibition, doing melachot to maintain the fruit, the parameters of the Biblically prohibited labor.

      Tefilah:
    • Halacha Yomit Guide to Birkhot Hashachar (89 kb)
      1 page study sheet and summary questions, in Ivrit. Source from Talmud of the original form of birkhot hashachar. Brachot were recited on each morning activity (putting on shoes, sitting up, stretching etc.). Although today we recite all the brachot together, the source in the Talmud provides insight into the meaning of the brachot.

    • Tehillim sheet for students: 3 mizmorim and "acheinu kol beit Yisrael" [218 kb] This is a one page Tehillim sheet, including 3 mizmorim (two short common ones, and a third [83] which is appropriate for times of war), followed by "Acheinu kol beit Yisrael..." The sheet can be used in the classroom, glued into siddurim, or used for school assemblies of prayer.

      The Jewish calendar:
    • Rosh Chodesh Brochure.
      A brochure calling upon Jews who see the new moon to go testify in front of the High Court in Jerusalem. This brochure incorporates the halachot taught in the beginning of Masechet Rosh Hashana and the Rambam in Hilchot Kiddush Hachodesh. This can be useful as a teaching tool when learning the mishnayot. Written by Rabbi Shalom Berger and Tzvi Harris (Ivrit, 452 KB).

    • The Halacha Yomit guide to the year 5764. An explanation of the "k'viot" of the year 5764. "Kviot" is the Hebrew term for the various rules that define each year. The table lists all the properties of the year. (Ivrit, 178 KB)

      General topics:
    • The eight "maalot" of tzedaka.
      The eight levels (different types) of tzedaka. Based upon the language of the Rambam, with some explanations. (Ivrit, 183 KB)

    • Halacha Yomit Teachers Guide, part 1 5763
      A guide for teachers. The guide is in Ivrit and contains ideas for discussions, further study and activities to enhance the Halacha Yomit study.
